I had a conference with James' teacher today. Bless her heart she must be a saint. She was excited to show me James' "gallon man" that he made. Everyone in the class made a "man" out of construction paper with a gallon as the body, 4 quarts as the arms and legs, and so on. But of course James' was special. Since they couldn't go out to recess his teacher told the class they could add decorations/features to their gallon men while she read a book. Some just drew eyes, some added yarn for hair, and then there's James. When she finished reading, he showed her his gallon man complete with chest and armpit hair. Oh, yes he used yarn alright, but not for the hair on his head.
So what do you say when the teacher shows you this fine work of art?
I just had to laugh and say, "I am so sorry!"
Maybe when he brings it home, I'll be able to get a picture to post. You really have to see it to appreciate it.
